The HS code (Harmonized System) is an international product classification system developed by the World Customs Organization (WCO). The first six digits are common internationally; countries add their own national digits on top. In Turkey, this code is known as GTİP.
The correct code determines applicable customs duties, import restrictions and required documents, so it is advisable to confirm product classification with a customs broker.
