An Incoterms rule under which the seller delivers by making the goods available at its own premises, placing the most obligations on the buyer.
[01]
Under EXW, the seller makes the goods available at its factory or warehouse. The seller is not obliged to load the goods or clear them for export; loading, export formalities, freight and all subsequent costs and risks are borne by the buyer.
It can be used for any mode of transport. In practice it can be difficult if the buyer has no representative in China to handle export procedures.
